Our Vision is People
Capital Cross Church has been established for the expansion of the Kingdom of God since 2018, and continues to function with a vision of reaching out to people.
The Church is registered under Australian Christian Churches (Assembly of God), keeping Canberra South as its base for proclaiming the deep love of God and the truth revealed in the Gospels specifically for the Tamil and Sinhala speaking community.
Currently the Church operates as a house church, yet dreams of growing into a large congregation and serving more and more people. Our prime focus is to draw people closer to God through worship and help them bear the Fruits which God expects in their spiritual life, revealed through His word.
Born into a devout Christian family in Sri Lanka, Pastor Manoel Niles truly dedicated his life to Christ at the age of 19. Since then he has been playing an integral part in churches God has led him to, especially in the areas of worship leading and music. In 2003 he began his life in ministry being attached to the Assembly of God (AOG) Church in Sri Lanka. By 2009 he attained his Bachelor of Theology from the AOG Bible College. During this time, he was also blessed with a loving wife and a son who have since been a great support for him in ministry. He continued to be involved in missionary work and also served as an educator at a school for prospective mission workers. Realizing God’s calling and will for his life, in 2014 he migrated to Australia and has been sharing Christ’s message of salvation among the Tamil & Sinhalese community settled in Canberra.
